ST. PETE NEW WORKS FESTIVAL
March 25 - April 4, 2027
One City. Four Stages. The Future of American Theater.
St. Pete isn’t just a destination for art. It’s where art is born.
In an era where the national landscape for new plays is shrinking, St. Petersburg is growing. The St. Pete New Works Festival is a defiant, city-wide collaboration between Story Keepers, freeFall Theatre, The Studio@620, and Off-Central Players.
From March 25 – April 4, 2027, we are transforming the city into a living laboratory for the performing arts. This isn't just about the final curtain call—it’s about the messy, beautiful journey of creation. Join us for two weeks of world premieres, staged readings, and the stories that will define the next generation of theater.

Pink Unicorn
An intimate, site-specific journey, The Pink Unicorn unfolded across seven different local venues, transforming living rooms and community hubs into the heart of a small-town Texas struggle. By removing the stage and placing the audience just feet away from Trisha’s kitchen-table confession, the production blurred the line between theater and a neighborly visit. It was a visceral, immersive experience that challenged us to witness the fracture of a family and the rebuilding of a fiercer love in the very spaces where our own communities gather.
